Halosil Works to Educate & Support Schools to Prevent the Spread of Illness

NEW CASTLE, DE (December 23, 2020) — Halosil International, Inc., the leader in whole room disinfection across a broad range of applications and environments, has engaged in educational activities and worked with schools and universities nationwide to prevent the spread of COVID-19, flu, and other illnesses found in academic settings.

Halosil was featured in the December 8 Fighting the Flu issue of Mediaplanet, a supplement to USA TODAY, as part of the company’s efforts to inform and support schools as they strive to minimize the spread of illness across students, faculty, and staff. In the article, “The Key to Opening Schools Safely,” Halosil Chairman and CFO David St. Clair highlights the spread of COVID-19 and flu, and ways to prevent infection through proper disinfection methods.

“The Halo Disinfection System® has been used in many schools before—and now during COVID-19—to eliminate pathogens on hard surfaces,” said St. Clair. “The system ensures a uniform delivery of our hydrogen peroxide disinfectant without requiring surfaces to become wet, all while maintaining up to a 99.9999% kill rate.”

By utilizing the HaloFogger® to uniformly distribute HaloMist (EPA Reg. No. 84526-6), schools can more efficiently and effectively eliminate pathogens across environments, including classrooms, locker rooms, gyms, cafeterias, offices, and more.

Kent State University is one institution that has turned to the Halo Disinfection System® to eliminate pathogens in their on-campus Athletic areas. In particular, the Halo Disinfection System® is utilized in the visiting football team’s locker room before game day to eliminate viruses that could be on surfaces.

“At Kent State University, our saying is ‘Flashes take care of Flashes,’” said Greg Evans, Housekeeping Supervisor at Kent State University. “We use the Halo Disinfection System in our locker rooms, so Flashes care for every visiting team.”

Mr. Evans continued to speak on his experience with Halosil: “When selecting a disinfection system, we were pleased with the support of the Halosil team and the capabilities of the system. The fogger is easy to set up and operate, and we even received a chart that shows how to get the maximum coverage out of the system. We have done basic testing, and the Halo Disinfection System has outperformed our highest expectations.”

Halosil’s HaloMist is included on the EPA’s List N of products effective against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, and List K of registered antimicrobial products effective against C. difficile spores. Contact Halosil at info@halosil.com to place an order.
